At Training Management Corporation (TMC), we are committed to the responsible use of personally identifiable information (PII) collected on its web sites. As part of our commitment to your privacy and security, we have adopted the practices described in this Privacy Statement which outlines the type of information we collect, what we do with that information, and the choices users have in regard to the information they provide.

Furthermore, we are pleased to confirm that TMC is compliant with the following privacy programs in acknowledgement of its commitment to the importance of protecting your individual personally identifiable information.

TRUSTe
Training Management Corporation is a Participant in the TRUSTe Privacy Seal Program. TRUSTe is an independent organization whose mission is to advance privacy and trust in the networked world.  As TMC wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy, it has agreed to disclose its information practices and have its privacy practices monitored for compliance by TRUSTe. This privacy policy covers the sites: www.tmcorp.com and www.culturalnavigator.com.

If you have questions or concerns regarding this statement, you should first contact us at privacy@tmcorp.com. If you do not receive acknowledgment of your inquiry, or if your inquiry has not been satisfactorily addressed, you should then contact TRUSTe at http://www.truste.org/consumers/watchdog_complaint.php. TRUSTe will then serve as a liaison with the Web site to resolve your concerns.  

Training Management Corporation complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. Training Management Corporation has certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. Collection and Use Of Personal Information. The extent and type of information we receive from you on our web sites or specially branded versions thereof, depends on the information you provide to us through our surveys, assessments, questionnaires, contact mailboxes and through the registration process on our sites.
 
Some of our web sites may invite you to register and provide information about yourself. We use the information you provide to personalize your online experience and to deliver the content most suited to your needs. 
  • Site Use InformationIt is possible to visit a TMC web site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. Our web servers collect the domain names, not the e-mail addresses, of visitors. This information is aggregated to measure the number of visits, average time spent on the sites, pages viewed, and so forth. TMC utilizes this information to measure the use of our sites and to improve the content we offer.
  •  Agents/Service Providers: We use other third parties such as web hosting, web analytics, web security to support our web site operations. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for promotional purposes.

  • Registration Information Provided by You: Personally identifiable information is collected by TMC through:

 o    The use of inquiry and registration forms
 o    The purchase process when you buy any of our products or services
 o    The provision of your details to us either online or offline

Among such details may be your name, title, company name, home shipping and billing addresses, phone and fax number, mobile telephone number, e-mail address, and payment details such as credit card information. 

  • Agents/Service Providers
    We use other third parties such as a credit card processing company to bill you for services. When you sign up for a web-based course, we will share your card holder information (name, address, phone, email, credit card number) as necessary for the third party to provide that service.

    These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for promotional purposes. 

We use your personally identifiable information to respond to your requests, provide you with personalized information and resources, as well as information on updates and new services available through TMC’s websites, unless we obtain your permission to use your personal information for other purposes. For example, if you send us an e-mail message requesting information about TMC, we will use your e-mail address and other information you supply to respond to your request. If we intend to use your personal information to inform you about other TMC services, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to decline to receive such communication. If you send us a resume or curriculum vitae (CV) to apply online for a position with TMC, we will use the information provided to match you with available opportunities.

The personal information you provide to us will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected or as required by law. We do not share personal information with third parties except as necessary to carry out our business or as required by law or other legal processes, and we never share, sell, rent or trade your personal identifiable information with third parties for their promotional purposes. Furthermore, personal data collected by TMC may be transferred to TMC affiliates where it is necessary to meet the purpose for which you have submitted the information. By submitting data through TMC electronically, you are providing explicit consent to the trans-border transmission of data collected via TMC's web sites.

The personal information provided to you in connection with the Cultural Orientations Indicator©, TMC’s cultural assessment tool, and the resulting Cultural Profile will be kept strictly confidential within a secured TMC database. Your profile will not be released to your employer or any other sponsoring organization without your authorization, which you have the option to opt-in or opt-out.

TMC retains the right to use your information for aggregate data comparisons and analyses as part of its ongoing cultural orientations research program. This right does not extend to partner organizations of TMC or any externally licensed organizations or individuals.

Transfer of Data.  The internet is a global environment. Using the internet to collect and process personal data can result in the transmission of data across national boundaries. Thereby, by browsing TMC sites and communicating electronically with us you acknowledge and agree to our processing of personally identifiable information outside of the country in which you reside, including in the United States. 

Update and Correction of Personally Identifiable Information. You may contact us to correct, update, and/or delete the personally identifiable information being used for any secondary purposes (i.e., sending promotional communications, newsletters, customer service announcements) that you may have signed up for at the time of creating your account. 

  • Newsletters
    If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s), we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe.

  • Service-related announcements
    We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.  Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them you have the option to deactivate your account by sending us an email at privacy@tmcorp.com.

  • Customer Service
    Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email or telephone, in accordance with your wishes.

Specifically in regard to www.culturalnavigator.com, you must first log in to your account, and click on the Settings icon in the upper right hand corner of the page in order to make any changes. Security. TMC takes reasonable precautions to maintain the protection and transmission of sensitive personally identifiable information collected through its websites and used in accordance with this Privacy Statement. When you enter sensitive information on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure sockets layer technology (SSL) provided by Verisign (SSL Certificate) and SecurityMetrics (PCI DSS Compliance). [To learn more about these protective measures, follow these links: www.verisign.com and www.securitymetics.com. In addition to these technical safeguards, we use physical controls and procedures to safeguard your personally identifiable information. However, we cannot guarantee that it is completely secure from people who might attempt to evade our security measures or intercept transmissions over the internet.

Cookies.  A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We do link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

We use session cookies to store your login data, and we record each session if you access a feature during your session which enables us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. 

If you reject cookies, you may still use our site but your ability to use some areas of our site will be limited. 

Child Privacy. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. We do not knowingly solicit or receive information from children under the age of 18. If a child has provided us with personally identifiable information, the parent or guardian of that child may contact us at (609) 951.0525.

Employee Access, Training. Our corporate values, ethical standards, and practices are committed to the protection of customer and visitor information. Our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and restrict the use and disclosure of such information except by authorized persons, processes and transactions. Our personnel who have access to the data have been trained to maintain the confidentiality of such information.  

Privacy Policies of any Linked Sites or Parties. TMC’s sites may contain links to other sites such as affiliates or other third parties. This Privacy Statement only addresses TMC’s use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information collected on this site. While we try to link only to sites that share our standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third parties or the content of the linked sites, and we encourage you to read the applicable privacy policies and terms and conditions of such parties or web sites. 

Changes to this Statement. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the home page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

Training Management Corporation participates in the EU Safe Harbor Privacy Framework as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce.  As part of our participation in the Safe Harbor, we have agreed to TRUSTe dispute resolution for disputes relating to our compliance with the Safe Harbor Privacy Framework.
