Diverse Teams: the Norm in Today’s Business World


Technology has removed many boundaries between people, creating a virtually borderless workplace that connects employees, customers, partners and suppliers. In addition, corporate hierarchies are disappearing, and people increasingly work in diverse teams with flatter organizational structures.

Even what is perceived as a mostly homogenous team with all members from the same country and company will have many different cultural preferences represented within the team.

In this day and age, diverse team management skills are crucial for any business to succeed in implementing its strategic goals and initiatives. Highly skilled and culturally aware managers can better lead mergers and acquisitions, and launch effective initiatives geared toward global business growth and innovation, diversity and inclusion, and global talent and development.
